The spring sports season is off to a rocky start as far as weather is concerned. Multiple games and meets have been cancelled the first two weeks of the season. Every effort will be made to communicate cancellations, schedule changes, and make-up dates. Sign up for athletic alerts at the following link: http://ohioalerts.org/Lincolnview/Subscribe

The most up-to-date spring sports schedule can be found on the athletics web page. Highlighted are make-up games and game location changes. An effort will be made to update this schedule weekly if necessary.
Athletic Booster Reverse Draw tickets can be purchased from a Booster officer or at the high school in the athletic director office. Tickets are $50 and include dinner, two drink tickets, and entry into the reverse draw to win $2500. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and other games of chance. The event is April 28 at the Middle Point Community Building. Doors open at 6:00 and dinner will be served at 6:30.
Did you know that all Lincolnview coaches must complete extensive training before being approved and hired by the BOE? Our coaches complete classes on the Fundamentals of Coaching, First Aid and Safety, Concussion Protocol, CPR, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. In addition, coaches go through a BCI/FBI fingerprint back ground check. Thank you to all coaches for putting hours of training to serve our Lincolnview athletes!
Length of a Game – Differences in Baseball and SoftballSince many are scheduling doubleheaders to make up games, an often asked question is whether or not a DH can consist of 2 – 5 inning games. The answer varies…in softball, a state adoption DOES permit games of a DH to be shortened to 5 innings (both games do not need to be 5 innings) but in baseball they cannot. In the case of softball, the agreement to do so must be mutual with both teams AND done prior to the game. A baseball game by rule is 7 innings in length and must be scheduled and played as such according to NFHS rules. Normal game ending procedures do take place if softball games are shortened.
